I am fudging just a tiny bit here but this IS a National Recreation Trail. In my opinion, the best one in the country. Thirty-two miles of scenic dedicated bike trail along the American River and Lake Natoma, ending at Folsom Lake, called the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail/American River Parkway, but commonly known as the Jewel of Sacramento. It is where I am at my happiest.
